One-on-One Care
Pharmacist Consultations
Sit down with a pharmacist who has time for your questions. Medication reviews, hormone therapy questions, supplement checks, and compounding questions, all in plain English.
What's Included:
- What Happens in a Consultation
- How We Work With Your Prescriber
- No Pressure, Just Answers

Most medication questions never get asked. The line is long, the drive-through is rushed, and it feels easier to just hope for the best. At America First Pharmacies in Irving, consultations are part of how we practice. You get a pharmacist's full attention, for as long as your questions take.
A consultation can cover whatever is on your mind. We can walk through every medication you take, check how your supplements and prescriptions interact, talk through questions about hormone therapy, or explain how a compounded medication is prepared and why your prescriber may have considered one for you.
There is no pressure and no obligation. A consultation is a conversation, not a sales pitch. If something needs your prescriber's attention, we will help you put the right questions together so your next appointment counts.
- Full medication reviews, everything you take in one sitting
- Supplement and vitamin interaction checks
- Hormone therapy questions, for women and men
- Compounded medication questions, how they are prepared and when prescribers consider them
- Side effect and timing questions
- New prescription walkthroughs
- Help simplifying a complicated medication schedule
- Preparing questions for your next doctor visit
What Happens in a Consultation
You sit down with a pharmacist, in person or by phone. Bring your prescriptions, your supplements, and anything you have been wondering about. We go through it together at your pace, in plain English, and you leave with clear answers and a simple picture of what you are taking and why. If a longer review makes sense, we will schedule a dedicated time so nothing gets rushed.
How We Work With Your Prescriber
Pharmacists do not prescribe, and we will never promise to get you a prescription. Our job is to help you understand your options and to work alongside your doctor or nurse practitioner. If a compounded medication comes up in conversation, it always requires a prescription, and the decision rests with your prescriber. America First Pharmacies prepares customized medications only when your prescriber determines a commercially available product is not right for you, for example a dye allergy, difficulty swallowing, or a strength that is not manufactured. What we can do is explain how that works and help you prepare the questions to ask.
No Pressure, Just Answers
Some pharmacies treat a conversation as a chance to sell. We treat it as the job. Ask your questions, take the answers home, and decide on your own time. If the best advice is to change nothing, that is the advice you will get.
