America First Pharmacies is an independent compounding pharmacy in Irving, Texas. We prepare customized testosterone medications when your prescriber determines that a commercially available product is not right for you. Every formulation is made to your prescriber's exact order, in our own lab, by our own team.
Hormone therapy for men is prescription therapy. Your prescriber decides whether testosterone is an option worth considering for your symptoms, usually after an exam and lab work. Our job is to prepare the medication accurately, explain how to use it, and stay in contact with your prescriber as your therapy is adjusted.

Why Your Prescriber May Choose a Compounded Form
Manufactured testosterone products come in a fixed set of strengths and forms. When those options are not right for you, your prescriber may consider a compounded option. That might mean a strength that is not manufactured, a base without a dye or fragrance you react to, or a different way of taking the medication. America First Pharmacies prepares each formulation to your prescriber's exact order, formulated for your specific needs.
How It Works
It starts with your prescriber. They evaluate your symptoms, usually order lab work, and decide whether testosterone therapy is something to consider. If they write a prescription for a compounded form, they send it to us with the strength, form, and directions they want. We prepare it at our Irving pharmacy, check it against the prescription, and have it ready for pickup. Our pharmacists are available at every step to answer questions about how to apply, take, or inject your medication.
Safety and What to Discuss With Your Prescriber
Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance under federal law. It can only be dispensed with a valid prescription from a licensed prescriber, and we verify every prescription before we fill it. We store testosterone securely at the pharmacy and follow state and federal controlled-substance rules, including reporting to the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program. Refills and dose changes require your prescriber's authorization. All hormone therapy carries risks as well as potential benefits. Your prescriber is the right person to walk through side effects, lab monitoring, and how often you should follow up. Before starting therapy, share your full health history and a list of every medication and supplement you take.
